Chuck fue renovada para una tercera temporada hace tiempo, pero sólo por trece episodios. Ahora la NBC ha anunciado recientemente seis episodios más. ¿Cómo viviste con la incertidumbre y luego las noticias?

Sólo tienes que invertir en el viaje que hace el personaje en aquel momento, episodio por episodio... y disfrutar del paseo hasta que dure.

Los fans de Chuck realmente se revoltaron y os daron su apoyo cuando el futuro era incierto. Se vio que Chuck tenía más apoyo del que creía la compañía. ¿Te esperabas tal soporte?

Sabía que teníamos fans, pero nada parecido a devotos, organizaron una multitud que salió allí y manipularon el capitalismo a nuestro favor. Fue frenético.

Southland fue cancelada (nota de Bertu: las preguntas se enviaron antes del fichaje de TNT) ¿Qué piensas sobre eso?

Como artista, lo siento por todas las personas que pusieron sus corazones en ello. Me gustaba mucho la serie... was cancelled. Es un negocio muy variante. Y cada vez es más duro para proporcionar series dramáticas.

Parece que la NBC está teniendo problemas en lo que audiencias se refiere. Ahora han cancelado Trauma y hay otras series que parece que se acabarán muy pronto. ¿Qué crees que está pasando en la compañía?

Hay muchos cambios continuos, es un negocio muy competitivo, están intentando navegar lo mejor que pueden.

En esta nueva temporada veremos a Brandon Routh y a Kristin Kreuk. ¿Has trabajado con ellos antes o en esa temporada? ¿Puedes contarnos algo que no sepamos sobre sus personajes?

No, nunca había trabajado con ellos (son increíbles), y... no, no te puedo contar nada que no se sepa.

¿Qué pasará en el Buy More con Emmett? ¿Una especie de dictadura?

Me encantaría verle intentarlo.

Puede ser... sigue alerta. Solo por si sucede, he hecho mis escalas vocales.

Something more. They take turns doing each other's taxes.

Mad Men... no muy probable para un chico moreno... Breaking Bad, Dexter, 30 Rock, The Office, Bored to Death... ¡Muchas!

¿Veremos al padre de Chuck en la tercera temporada o solo fue algo que era parte de la segunda?

Es muy pronto para decirlo. Scott Bakula estuvo genial en la serie. Seríamos afortunados de tenerlo.

¿Crees que Chuck conseguirá una cuarta temporada?

No tengo ni idea, después de esta montaña rusa.

Mmmm... Nunca me han llamado por esos nombres, pero soy reconocido. Puede ser extraño, soy bastante tímido, pero es un problema de la clase muy alta que tiene ser actor.

¿Eres tan "freaky" como tu personaje?

Sí, pero de muchas diferentes, secretas maneras. Trata de como se muestra la naturalidad.

Chuck was renewed for a third season a long time ago, but only for 13 episodes. Now NBC announced that 6 more episodes have been ordered. How do you deal with the uncertainty and then the news? You just have to invest in the character's journey moment by moment, episode by episode...and enjoy the ride for as long as it lasts.

Chuck’s fans really came out and supported the show when it’s future was uncertain. It turned out that Chuck had many more fans than the networks were aware of. Did you expect all the support? I knew we had fans, but nothing like the devout, organized army who got out there and manipulated capitalism on our behalf. That was wild.

Southland was cancelled. What’s your thought on that? As an artist, I feel for all the people who put their hearts into it. I liked the show a lot...but it's a hurly-burly business. And it's getting tougher and tougher to afford dramas.

It seems that NBC is having a hard time as audiences are concerned. Now they cancelled Trauma and there are other series that seem to be over so soon. What do you think is going on with the network? There's a lot of flux, it's a very competitive business, they're trying to navigate the best the can.

In this new season we will see Brandon Routh and Kristin Kreuk. Have you worked with them before and for this season? Can you tell us something we do not know of their characters? No, I have not worked with them before (they're both awesome), and...no, I can't tell you anything you don't know.

What will happen at the Buy More with Emmett? A kind of dictatorship? I would love to see him try.

Will we see more "Jeffster" in the third season? Could be...stay tuned. Just in case, I've been doing my vocal scales.

Will we be able to see Chuck's father in the third season or was this a thing of the second season? Too soon to say, Scott Bakula was great on the show. We'd be lucky to have him.

Do you think Chuck will get a fourth season? Absolutely no idea, after all this roller-coaster'ing.

How do you deal with the fame? Do you get easily recognized when you're on the street? (Maybe you ever been called "Apu" or "Raj"?) Hmmm. Not by either of those names, but do get recognized. It can be weird, I'm quite shy, but that's a pretty high class problem to be having as an actor.

Are you as "nerdy" as your character? Yes, but in very different, secret ways. It involves nature shows.
